Send a message to the crew of Rona II

Leg 4 have been doing a great job with their blog entries, but its a one way system they can not see the blog, or any of the comment you leave.

If you want to send them a message, please leave it as comments on this message and I'll bundle them all up and get them to the crew onboard.

If you send them a question you might get it answered in the next blog post, or a riddle will keep them entertained on night watches.

  6. Hi Wrighty and the Rona 2 Crew,

Sounds like it is going well and I hope you are keeping Turvey and Steptoe in their place - ha ha - tell them to keep the sails out of the water and the keel in it! Hope the sextant work is keeping you and the rest of the crew busy. NZ is going to be too expensive so our plans have changed and we'd love to join you in Dartmouth for your plans we discussed before your departure - looking forward to it... Helen can't wait to finally wear her oilies and is hoping for bad weather! Spoken to your boss and I'm going to go for it and see what happens but will fill you in on your return.

    Sail safe and Free,

    Nathan and Helen

P.s. the weather is rubbish here so I guess you are not missing much!

  18. Sometimme about 02:11 Thursday morning there was i lying in bed worrying about your lack of wind problem instead of dreaming about eating Chocolate and not geting fat. Now put all your bright young brains into action and solve this problem. What to do if there is no wind ,how can an artificial wind be created.? There,s lots of potential energy out there for free (sun, waves the wind you aren't using ,energy stored in plankton) Can you create a sail that stores sun light for later use ? All I can think of is hitching up to a dolphin and using it's energy. If you can make meringues with a hacksaw blade then you can do this AND you might make your fortunes when you get back. So pleased you are eating cabbage. Keep that boat moving.
    good wishes to you all.

Sorry to read you're running short of 'Happy Hour' beer! Sure you will all make up for it in Belfast. Perhaps Luke's 'Hot Chocolate' could supplement in the meantime (or maybe not)!!!

Best wishes to you all and good luck for the rest of the race.

A couple more riddles for you...

I am strongest when you see me as round, but I am often viewed in other forms. I lift and drop the sea with my tremendous strength, and a man with a name like ‘powerful bicep’ was the first to tread on me. What am I?

My first is in ocean but never in sea, my second’s in wasp but never in bee. My third is in glider and also in flight, my whole is a creature that comes out at night.
    What am I?

  41. Hi Matt, Steve, Bryn, and everyone else on the Rona II,

It's Kristen from the STV Unicorn. I just wanted to let you know that I posted pictures of Halifax and our costume party up on facebook in my second album. I have more pics of the parade of sail and out past the harbor, and I will post those later. By the way, were you guys sailing with a yellow spinnaker?

Also, as we were leaving Halifax I was looking for your so called "giant spaceship" that was supposed to be flying off of your stern, and I did not see it. So if it exists would you be able to take a picture of it and post it?

Now, you boys better catch up to the PVD and win because I am rooting for you all!!!
